As we gather to make our drums, we will also explore using drums for healing, balance, and connection. The workshop addresses the spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of Drum making. Drum practices woven within the structure of the workshop are 4-fold and will include usage as a medicine song tool, for journey work, as a meditation tool, and for mental focus with I Ching drumming. We will also weave our time together with storytelling, songs, and sharings from the heart. Each participant will take home his or her own beautiful wood frame and leather drum with drumstick.
What to Bring:
*A favorite stick for making your drum mallet (some stick choices will be available). *Sack lunch and snacks for both Saturday and Sunday! (filtered water, tea and coffee provided). Youarewelcometobringfreshfruittoshare.Cuttingboard/knifeavailable. *A Journal and pen/pencil for your journey notes and/or creative process.
*A beach chair if you like. Sitting pillow and beach mats will be available.
*Please dress comfortably-modestly. We are gathering in a ceremony way. (also consideraddingclothingoptionsasweathercanvary,andsomeoftheworkismessy). •A Beach Towel for your drum making process, on day 2

Cost: $50 minimum deposit to register. Cash, check, or credit card. Space limited to 18. Balance due at the end of Day 1 please.
5 sizes will be available to choose from and a variety of hides. The choices won’t be known prior toregistration. However,themostbeautifulanddiverseavailablematerialswillbechosen.
$200, $230, $260 or $300 depending on size of Drum you choose to make on day one. (12”, 14/15”, 16”, or 18”)
